Beginning Copper Foil – Build 2 pieces using copper foil technique, 1 small panel learning to build for a framed edge and 1 sun-catcher to learn to finish edges for open or 3-D pieces (Ages 14+). Advanced Stained Glass – Advance your skills in copper foil and lead construction techniques building a panel that combines the unique characteristics of each technique. Beginning copper foil and beginning lead classes are prerequisite for this class (Ages 14+). Approx 8-hr class, outside work necessary, scheduled individually (call for an appointment). |

Group Workshops – Project classes focus on learning advanced skills and increasing confidence in students’ ability to construct more complicated designs in either copper foil or lead construction. 2+ students in each class, Ages 14+. Workshop examples are Decorative Soldering, Kaleidoscopes, and Panel Lamps.

Mosaic Classes |

Direct Method Mosaics – Learn the basics of direct-method mosaics of glass cutting, choosing materials, and grout basics in designing and completing the border around a mirror (Ages 12+, 2-6 students), 6-hour class, 3 sessions.

Mosaic Installations – In this advanced level class, students will learn the basic skills to create interior or exterior mosaic art and surfaces for the home, such as backsplashes, countertops, floor insets and small scale wall murals. Using the double-direct method, students will create a 12” x 18” wall panel project that will incorporate the necessary methods, skills and proper techniques required for making architectural installations of mosaic art. Direct Method ability is a prerequisite (Ages 12+, 2-6 students), 8-hour class.

Stepping Stones -- Learn to cut/fit glass pieces to a specific pattern, mix and pour quick-set mosaic cement (Ages 12+). Introduces students to basic glass cutting and grinding tools as they create an 8" stepping stone. Classes taught individually or in groups.

Mosaic Project Workshops (Price determined by project) – Schedule your group to do a mosaic project start to finish to celebrate a special day (birthdays, Girl/Boy Scout Troops, 4-H groups) or just for fun.

Fusing Classes Fusing classes are focused to cover a single aspect of fusing in as much depth as possible to afford students the information needed to continue their creativity successfully outside the classroom. (Ages 10+, 2-4 students) For our fusing students, we cannot emphasize enough how close we are to Vitrum Studio: an incredible warm glass resource center with amazing education facilities. Introduction to Warm Glass - This workshop’s aim is to lay the groundwork necessary for an artist’s exploration through kilnforming processes through explanation of basic understanding of fused glass behavior, basic fusing schedules, fusing terminology, what you can do next, places to go for information and inspiration and a craving for more!! (2-4 students, 2 sessions: 3½ hours first session, 1½ hour second session). |

Introduction to Using Powder/Advanced Accessory Glass – What are all those accessory glass good for anyway? For all kinds of things!! This 5 hour class deals specifically with using powder, how to sift and manipulate and move it to begin creating pictures as realistic or abstract as you may want. (2-4 students). Introduction to Powder is the pre-requisite to Advanced Accessory Glass. |

Beginning/Advanced Jewelry – 2 sessions, construct glass cabochons during first session; learn wire wrapping skills during 2nd session. Beginning level focuses on full fused cabochons which can be groove-ground and wire wrapped. Tuition includes tools and supplies for basic wire wrapping (ages 12+, 2-6 students). Prerequisite: Introduction to Warm Glass. Advanced class includes supplies for more difficult wraps. (ages 12+, 2-4 students). Prerequisite: Beginning Jewelry.
